Jim Morgan is a real estate associate / agent with AL Page Realty. Jim has held Real Estate licenses in North Carolina and Louisiana, in addition to Arkansas, and had over 8 years in Real Estate Sales before joining the AL Page Realty team. Jim was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. Jim retired from the U. S. Army in 1980 with 21 years of active duty, including a combat tour in Vietnam flying with A Troop, 3rd Squadron, 17th Air Cavalry, supporting the 1st Cavalry Division. Jim's military career took him to a variety of locations, both in the U. S. and overseas, including Antigo, WI; Istanbul, Turkey; Wellfleet, MA; Fallon, NV; Panama City, Panama; Vietnam, Fayetteville, NC; Heidelberg, Germany; Wurzburg, Germany; Augusta, GA; Killeen, TX and Colorado Springs, CO to name a few. In addition, Jim has resided in Cary, NC; Detroit, MI and Destrehan, LA. During the last 9 years working for the Department of the Navy, as a design engineer on the LPD 17 program, a new class of amphibious ships designed to take the Marines into battle. Jim was the Government Lead Engineer on the design and implementation of the Shipboard Wide Area Network (SWAN), which automates and interconnects all of the electronic navigation, communication, combat control and engineering control equipment and sensors on the ship. Jim and his wife Sherilyn visited the Mountain Home area some two years ago, and knew instantly that this was the place he wanted to be. Jim has held a Pilot's license since 1970. Jim's wife, Sherilyn, is a school teacher with some 29 years experience teaching English, Social Studies, Special Education and Gifted programs in grades K through 12.
